Bandwagon Fan! (Picture is #14)

So I recently just hopped on the bandwagon and decided to try these lippies. I fell in love! Especially with #14! The perfect nude even for my medium deep skintone. I just recently was able to get my hands on #04 (each drugstore only sell a certain number). The popular shades are forever sold out everywhere and I see why. The lipsticks glide on and they're extremely creamy and pigmented. I honestly want them all including #01. Never can have enough red.

Love them!

I own quite a lot of eyeshadows from this particular line and they are unlike any other eyeshadow in the drugstore. The texture and pigmentation is what sold me! The silk-like texture reminds me sooo much of the UD eyeshadows I swatched in Sephora a couple weeks ago. The pigmentation is unreal with just one swatch and even more pretty when using the foiling method. Quite honestly, I won't be happy until I own them all, but they're $10 a pop! I know a lot of people complain about them being hard to blend. I personally did not have this problem. I always use a base under my eyeshadows to make sure they glide on smoothly and natural bristle brushes are best for applying powder products like these.

PLEASE USE IT CORRECTLY

To be honest, I have disagree with a lot of reviews about this product that has been posted all over the internet. I purchased this product 6 months back after it caught my eye in the store. I watched many Youtube videos as to what it was before I bought it. Even by watching the videos, I knew this was not a regular primer and I think this is where everyone frustration came in about this products.

1. This is not an all-over-face primer. This is color correcting primer, so use it only in areas where you need to color correct. But this should be a no brainer because the same rules apply for all color correcting concealers.

2. Depending on how bad your dark circles or redness is, this primer is not to be used alone but in conjunction with something that is more medium to full coverage. The consistency is very liquidy and ment to be blended out.

3. Everyone complained about the shimmer when honestly I believe that's what separate the drugstore from high end, the fact that most drugstore products contain shimmer. Duh. But honestly, the shimmer is subtle and if they were to make this product without it, then the anti-dull purposes would be void. If you find that it is too shimmery, then that means you used too much product. The light reflecting properties of the shimmer is what brings the glow to your face.

I bet if everyone would use it correctly and pair it with their favorite concealer, they will find that it is actually a very good product.

Favorite Lipsticks

For years I stayed away from Cover Girl being a woc myself, but the Queen collection has truly revived this cosmetics line. I recently just found my love in this line with their lipsticks and bronzers. These are my favorite lipsticks period. They are so creamy and pigmented, and they don't leave my lips dry and flaky like other lipsticks. The colors are so rich and beautiful. I need more.

I own them all.

When they first came out and everyone was raving about them, I convinced myself that I needed them all. It took me nearly two weeks to get Bad to the Bronze because everywhere I went that shade was sold out. And it is actually my favorite shade. I was disappointed with Fierce and Tangy because it wasn't as pigmented as the photos advertised and neither was the purple one. But I still use them because they do make for a great base. Overall, I love this products and I surely do hope that Maybelline will continue to come out with more colors.

I wont stop til I own them all.

Usually when I really like a product, I purchase every color because I convince myself I need to have them all in my collection. I am in love with Milani products and how they work so well with women of dark complexion, probably one of my favorite drugstore brand. I have the mauvey pink one, and when I saw it, I knew I had to have it. My favorite blush thus far. They are so pigmented so be sure not to apply it with a heavy hand because you can easily achieve the clown look with these.

I am a fan of the Revlon Colorstay for the Oily/Combo skin. It does what the high end foundation does for the drugstore price. The coverage is better than the other drugstore foundations I own and the staying power is amazing. The only con is the color range. If it wasn't for the L'Oreal True Match I would believe that drugstore foundations are only allowed to limit themselves to a certain number of colors, but they're not. I am in between these shades so I have to buy two to get a color close to my skin tone. (And if that's the case, why not try a high end foundation that's better for the price right?) I actually mix my Photo Ready in Caramel with the Colorstay in Caramel to get the right balance. And I like that color very well.

Level #11

I saw this at my local BSS and was really curious. Unbeknowst to me until I got home that this was the same company that make my favorite gel liner. I've been on the hunt (a very serious hunt) for an undereye concealer for my bad dark circles. And this is the closest I got to my favorite concealer. Another thing I like about this product is that it can be used for many different things like highlighting, contouring, and concealing blemishes. I plan to go back and stock up, I noticed when I purchased it most of the shades was bought up. I should've known then that it was a good product.

I have multiple ones!

I love these. I only have three shades, but I plan to get more. I like the fact that you get two lipsticks for the price of one and that they are both very pigmented. The staying power is amazing and you will need makeup remover to get it completely off because they do leave a stain. This products is good for trying different lip techniques (i.e. ombre lips) with different colors.
