Stinky

Moon Juice is expensive, so I’m going to be more critical here. What I LOVE: the texture of the moisturizer is decadent, and leaves a delicious coating of oil on my skin after it’s blended in. I love that on my dry skin. My skin is GLOWING already ! What I really don’t like: the smell! It smells like chemicals! As soon as I open the jar, I can smell it. Something called Moon Juice should not smell like this. The lid ( remember, I’m being nit-picky). The lid is hard to close. A moisturizer that costs this much should have a functional lid, that closes easily…just sayin’.

I haven’t decided if I’ll be buying this again. My skin loves it, but my nose does not. I would be willing to overlook the lid for the results I’m getting, though.

WTF?

My friend talked me into trying Jeffree Star, so I just got this because I’m always skeptical of influencers makeup lines and thank the gGoddess I trusted my instincts. It took me a minute to figure out what this reminded me of, but it was way back in 1993, I was 12 and my mom got me my first eyeshadow, a Cover Girl palette and that is what this reminds me of. There is no excuse to be so judgmental of other peoples products and then put out eye shadow, that behaves like drug store makeup from 1993. I used builder brushes, both synthetic and natural and out of frustration, I even used blending brushes and all I got was a flat blotchy washed out color that got all over my face ( and a bunch of orange brushes). Also, while building other colors I was working with, it started to come off! I ended up just covering it with something else. So, what was supposed to be an easy cut crease ended up taking FOREVER because I had to wash it off my face. This pic is what it looked like when I just gave up. My pride is forcing me to also add one of me with makeup on so you can see that I do know how to do makeup.

Gorgeous

I used the Radiance Boosting Face Palette in Light Gold for the first time today and I think it made all my other makeup jealous. I love bronzing and contouring but have never really gotten excited over the results in my skin tone. I’ve been sick for over a month and this baby managed to make me look (almost) healthy. I’ve worked in the cosmetics industry for about 16 years and I appreciate that the price is inline with high-end lines like Lancôme, Estée Lauder or Bobbi Brown but it performs like the luxury lines, like Chanel. So ya, it’s $45, but it could easily cost more.
