Beauty Product Reviews

My new FAVORITE!

I get hormonal breakouts like crazy, so my go-to has been the Skinceuticals Blemish+Age serum which is awesome. But recently I gave this a try, along with the Papaw ointment combination. I dont know if it works for everyone but it definitely worked for me.

I would swab some of the liquid over my skin that is covered with acne and then swipe some of the ointment over it to keep it from drying out too much, since my skin tends to do that. While some may think the ointment is way too heavy on the skin (it kind of is), there's something to it that doesn't seem to clog my pores. I guess it's meant to be cleansing as advertised. But anyways, I love this combination because my skin was honestly so red and horrible and I tried to cover it with foundation (only made it look worse). Somehow, after 2 - 3 days of this combo, it healed my skin and I have way less acne than before and my skin feels so smooth.

Will keep using this blemish stick, also in the process of buying a new one :)

No Shine All Day

I use this finishing powder as part of my morning routine. Moisturizer, BB Cream, Powder Foundation, and the Smooth Operator. My skin is prone to getting oily by the end of the day usually or even in a couple of hours. With the finishing powder, I feel a lot better knowing that by the end of my work day, my skin isn't overly shiny or oily. I would definitely suggest trying it out if you're looking for product to keep the shine away. Plus side is that this product doesn't have SLS or parabens or all those chemicals that everyone tries to avoid.

One Jar Can Last Forever... (Or a good couple of years)

I didn't realize when I bought it but this tiny tub of Papaw is amazing. I only need to lightly graze the top of the jar to get just enough for my lips. It's edible and moisturizing! It's a multi-treatment for any part of you that has dry skin: elbows, knees, heels, etc. This is probably one of those must-have products at home, just in case. I had a cut on the corner of my mouth, which is unpleasant I know. I think this product was probably a big reason that it healed better, since it helped to moisturize it and speed up the healing process. I would definitely recommend buying tubs and tubs of these.

My Memory of French Pharmacies

This is the exact product that I saw in every single French pharmacy I walked into. This is the one product that needed very little marketing because it was everywhere, and you see it enough that you just want to try it out regardless. I have to say that I was very happy that I did because it's one of the best makeup removers that I've ever tried and one of the best no-rinse cleansers. You can see all the grime that your skin somehow attains completely removed, and this definitely leaves your skin feeling soft and not oily at all. A lot of the times when I first started using a toner or no-rinse cleanser, and my skin isn't used to it yet, it feels sticky and oily. That is not the case with Bioderma. Oh I miss France but I'm glad I can get this product with Beautylish now.

Great lip protection for the day

I'm not usually the type to use lipstick really, but I thought I would give this a try since it is considered a lip conditioner which is exactly what I need. I don't really know what lipsticks feel like but I get the sense it might be similar to this product except this actually adds the conditioning factor into it. My lips do feel more conditioned and the color does stay on as long as you're not wiping your mouth from eating or something. You could still see the hint of color after that, which is impressive for a tinted lip conditioner.

The color is a bit more red than I expected since I wanted a plum-like color but it's still a really nice color.

My Go To Product

This is seriously my go to product for when I start breaking out, from stress, from the weather, from hormones, basically every possible reason. One overnight usage of this treatment will calm my skin and another night of it will decrease the acne already. It may be too much to use it everyday but for every couple days, it's great as an overnight treatment!
