Beauty Product Reviews

Love these for my eye brushes. I throw my eye brushes into a pencil case (with the brush guard on) and I am good to go for touch ups while traveling on the train and at work. Amazing for drying just washed brushes too! A must have.

Super soft and smelled great (I wonder if CHIKUHOKO perfumes these brushes). The point is tapered enough to blend light colored eyeshadow for a wash of color across the lid making it easy and quick to do a natural eye look with just one shade and liner. It is delicate and, although worth the price, you may want to use it with light powders that you can wipe off with a tissue rather than heavy pigments because I am not sure how well the brush will hold up against repeated washings. For a diffused sweep of powder around sensitive eyes, this brush is for you.

Most YouTubers with yellow undertoned skin have posted tutorials with G Medium Dark. I chose the G Light Medium because I thought I could always darken by adding blush, bronzer or a darker shade of pressed powder on top so it made sense to have the lighter shade spectrum on hand for covering up blemishes and providing the maximum range of color options. I enjoy mixing the colors together - you will get the exact shade you want with this palette- the formula is creamy and blendable and you can even apply with your finger if you are in a hurry.

I had to think long and hard before buying a $44 eye brush but I am happy to report that it is worth the money. The grey squirrel hair works well for those ladies with super sensitive dry skin (or those with pollen type allergies; I am not speaking about animal hair allergies though) where it hurts to apply any product in the morning, even moisturizer. I used this brush in January and February when my eyelids got so dry that I couldn't even smile. I apply moisturizer mixed with a drop of argan oil and pat it on my eye area and it feels like heaven. A drop of aromatherapy oil (Aveda) works too.

Well worth the $25! I use it to apply cream eyeshadow (Laura Mercier and Josie Maran) and the Mac Paintpot (Camel Coat) before I blend in powder eyeshadow and I love it for its precision and softness. I have small hooded eyes and this brush gets right into the folds and corners. The long thin handle enables a flick-up motion at the corners of my eyes so my hooded lid doesn't appear to droop so much. Otherwise, I can look very sad indeed! Excellent quality - you will use this brush a lot.

It's a soft powder brush but not very versatile because it is too delicate for creams or liquids. It will give you a diffused natural look with loose powder but the round head does not allow for any precision in contouring or highlighting so, for the price, you are simply using it as a fluffy touch up powder puff. If you have the extra funds, go for it. It is well made and a luxury item. I like to use it around the eyes and sensitive areas under the eyes to make sure my powders are not caked during the day. It's a way to inhale and relax for 2 seconds during a busy day.
