Beauty Product Reviews

Useless to me really....

This wasn't helpful at all and I never use it. Maybe it's user error, but anyway, was a waste of money for me personally.

Powders have come a long, long way... what an amazing, versatile little unit!

I don't ever wear powder normally. I had thought of it as something that looks cakey and unnatural, and would only see the point if you suffer from a perennially shiny face (which I don't, only if I get carried away with using face products), and that with advancing years will get into all your little nooks and crannies and accentuate every line and flaw - not what we're hoping to achieve at all!

But I loved the sound of this It Cosmetics CC airbrush powder, as well as some of the other It products, and purchased the CC cream, the powder and the ombre blush. They all arrived together yesterday (and I must say I'm most impressed with Beautylish's international shipping rates to Australia, the fast delivery and the lovely personal touch with the packaging).

I tried them all on together and thought I looked pretty damn gorgeous actually (which was no mean feat considering I have an awful cold right now and looked like death warmed up previous to applying them!). Today I wanted to use the powder alone, as that had been my original intention as to how I'd use it. I wanted something to quickly pop on after applying my face products, that would give me some sun protection and make my skin look nicer in the way that a foundation does, without going crazy with a full face of make up. I was looking to see what the coverage was like, whether indeed it did give me a cakey "old lady" look, whether it covered up the shine from my products without making my face look dull and lifeless, and whether it got into all the fine lines and wrinkles and looked ghastly.

Firstly, the coverage was great. I had to re-apply it in a couple of areas, just adding to it as I needed to get a good coverage (which was fine as I'd started out with very little on my brush, not knowing how much I'd actually need). It most definitely took away the shine from the face products I'd put on previously, didn't look at all "old lady", gave my face an overall much better look without accentuating any fine lines and wrinkles, and when I returned from walking the dog and looked again, it seemed I had a lovely soft, dewy look to my complexion. It's a hit with me - I love it! (And I also love the CC cream and the ombre blush. I think I've become an It Cosmetics convert!)
