This shadow has a creamy, velvety feel and applies with zero fall-out. I got a sheer daytime/work appropriate result when applied with my finger and found the color faded after a few hours despite using primer. Much better, long-lasting result when applied with a flat shader brush. Only concern is how quickly I'll go through product as there's not much of it - the shadow is tiny!
This product is beyond brilliant - I cannot recommend it enough! If you're someone like me who's tried almost every foundation & concealer out there and struggle to find something that performs in terms of finish and coverage, then you'll be THRILLED with this. I always wear a sunscreen with high SPF during the day but a lot sunscreens don't get along with a lot of foundations. Then Cover FX came up with the perfect solution - I now have a foundation with high SPF, in a shade that matches my NC25 complexion exactly (G30) with the level of coverage I can control. I also mix the tiniest drop with my eye cream to use as a crease-proof undereye concealer. And I apply it "neat" with a precision liner brush for spot concealing. The first time I used this miracle product my husband actually said my skin looked amazing (trust me, this is noteworthy!). I'm going to stock up on this because if it's ever discontinued I don't think there'll be enough Prozac in the world to help me cope :-)
I really wanted to love this palette - beautiful range of neutral colors in a versatile mix of mattes and shimmers. Unfortunately it just doesn't perform as well as other palettes I have (Lorac, NARS, Urban Decay). The mattes in this palette are gorgeous with great color payoff but the shimmery shadows feel chalky and hardly show on the skin unless they're applied with a dampened brush. I wish I'd bought the travel-sized version of this palette to try first.
This is a must-try for anyone who's new to bronzers or who's suffering from bronzer-trauma. It gives skin a sheer bronze veil that's very wearable and everyday appropriate. Probably won't be visible on anyone over NC35/NW30 but extremely pretty if you're light to medium. For us pale gals, less is definitely more when it comes to bronzers!
I seem to have tried every foundation and concealer combination in my quest for makeup that's full coverage yet skin-like. I'd just about given up until I decided to give this - yes, yet another! - a go. And I'm thrilled I did. FINALLY, a foundation that covers everything without looking cakey, virtually undetectable in person and photographs beautifully. I was initially worried about using a creamy waxy product on my oily combination skin but it blends like a dream, sets to a semi-matte finish that lasts for hours when set with a finishing powder and it feels like I'm not wearing any makeup. If you're an NC25 and up, you need the Shinto paIette. It has simplified my makeup routine and helped me reclaim my bathroom now that I no longer need a department store's worth of foundations and concealers. I'm also madly in love with the RCMA contour palette which doubles as an eye makeup palette too. And may I also add a huge thumbs-up to the Beautylish team for their amazing service - you guys are the BEST!!!
I love fan brushes, so much so that I have six of them. My latest addition from Wayne Goss is fast becoming my favorite. I use it for just about everything, from removing shadow fallout, to powdering, applying blush, bronzer, and highlighter. If you're after subtle sheer results, this brush will not disappoint. The bristles are unbelievably soft, and not too dense or fluffy. It really is the perfect fan brush!
