Hi Barbara, I hope I can be the best lead horse for you, I'm from KY so I see a lot of the two racetracks and use them as a frame of reference! It's also why I get to dress up and have fun in other than jeans, in fact I haven't had jeans on in months. We took a group of apprentice actors from Actor's Theatre to Thanksgiving at Churchill Downs and not one had been to a track before so hitting THE TRACK was really fun for them. Plus the buffet is really gourmet now and lasts all day so you eat, watch the races go to the Paddock to see "Rider's Up" and dash back to our balcony. It's a bit much but fun and a great way to not have to deal with cooking.
