Poorly shaped, ok for the price
I bought this brush because it's similar to the Chikuhodo Makie Series MK-UM Powder Brush but $50 less. Previous years Lunar brushes were officially in collaboration with Chikuhodo so I'm guessing these are still manufactured by Chikuhodo.
The quality of the bristles is good, the design is cute, and the makeup application is beautiful.
However, this brush feels cheap for a few reasons: - The handle is very light, there's no weight to it at all which makes the brush top heavy. - The bristles are shaped unevenly and the shape doesn't look like what is shown in the product photos. My picture is taken after the brush has been washed twice and used about 10 times for makeup application. - The smell of the bristles is horrendous and very noticeable when you get it wet. The smell is getting fainter each time I wash it though.
I want to keep the brush because I think the performance is good for how much I paid for it. Still, for $125 I am disappointed that I did not get a symmetrical brush.
Poorly shaped
There are a lot of good things about this brush: it's super soft, applies blush in a diffused, even application, and blends beautifully. Unfortunately mine is shaped really unevenly which is very disappointing especially for the price. I'm going to send this one back and purchase another, hopefully it's just the one I got.
