Beauty Product Reviews

So far, so good.

I'm used to prescription Retinol (Tretinoin) in 0.1 cream, which is the strongest Retinol available... I was tired of paying the high price to get my refills at the pharmacy ($250USD), or having to take the effort to gather correct papers and info to order from a Canadian Pharmacy for much less money ($45USD) and having the long wait to get it to my door... Moving on, I heard that Kim K. uses this line of retinol... one of the weaker strengths, though. It's been a week and I'm starting to feel the slight chap of my skin and a little sunburnt feeling from the highest strength retinol by The Ordinary... Very happy to start feeling the same effects of a prescription strength retinol in a very inexpensive alternative. I use this on my arms, hands, neck, decolletage, and of course, face... Every night. It does feel greasy, so prepare to wait a while before going to bed, I feel like it will rub off on the sheets if I step right into bed after putting this on..I'm sure the product has still sunken in to the skin, but I hate the feeling of wasting product, especially wiped off on sheets. I would definitely recommend this serum if you are used to retinols or have used prescription retinols for a while prior to trying this one. I hope I start seeing improvements in my hyper-pigmentation and fine lines like I did with the prescription strength. Also! Make sure to slather up in sunscreen in the sun while using this product... otherwise, like my Dermatologist said, if your skin is exposed to sun while on any retinol product, it reverses any improvements in your skin that you have worked hard for... AND it will make your skin in even worse condition after sun exposure just because of the retinol because of how sensitive this product makes your skin. Retinol and sunscreen! Get it, girls! :)
