I went to the Nail Art House in SF's Japan Town (a surprise from my boyfriend!!) for my birthday and got this GORGEOUS clear to black gradient Calgel manicure with purple holographic stars and sparkles! I can't stop looking at them!!

I love this one, but it was way more difficult than the last. The sponges started breaking down after like the third tap and left little bits all over the place. Bummer. Also, the grey polish was getting kind of old and gloppy, even after thinning it with remover. Thin, smooth polish seems to be the secret to a good gradient. I love the results, though! I used Orly Bonder, RGB "Dove," Zoya "Pippa" and Essie "To Dry For."

I finally tried Nailasaurus's Gradient Nail Tutorial! (http://www.thenailasaurus.com/2012/04/gradient-nails-picture-tutorial.html) I used Essie "Fiji" (pale pink) to Sephora by OPI "I'm Wired" (brighter pink) Then I added Nicole by OPI "Love your Life" (clear with chunky heart glitter and fine holo sparkles) on top and finished it off with Essie's "To Dry For" top coat. Et voila! The sparkly polish doesn't show up in the "Products Used" list, but you can find it on Amazon.
