Beauty Product Reviews

I started using this product about 4 months ago (I'm on bottle #2), due to an interest in incorporating anti-aging products into my skincare routine. The product feels lovely on the skin and can easily be layered with other skincare products or under makeup.

I have no complaints about the product itself, yet I'm not sure that I'm seeing massive benefits from it alone. Anti-aging is a preventative step though, so I will keep using it in hopes that it helps.

Very nice primer

I am very picky when it comes to primers, and I generally do not like silicone primers, but this one is fantastic. It keeps makeup in place without being too drying or too slick. It is especially good when used with the foundations by The Ordinary. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good primer.

The best rose hip oil on the market

This is the only rose hip seed oil that I will purchase. If you've used other brands and compared them to this one, you can tell the difference in the quality. I have dry skin, so I'll mix a drop of this oil into my foundation or moisturizer and it makes a visible difference. I love it!

Almost perfect

I adore this product and have been using it for months now. It really helps control small breakouts and it remedies the uneven texture that comes with them. My only complaint is the silicone-esque feeling of the product. I'm not a fan of that texture in my skincare, but it doesn't bother me enough to get me to stop using this product. It just works too well!

Great price, real results!

My skin has always been dry and sensitive, so I am very picky about the acid products that I use. Prior to this product, I had been using the Good Genes treatment by Sunday Riley, and I enjoyed the results but not the price. So I tried this product on a whim and I love it.

For those of you who claim that this product is not a dupe for other lactic acid treatments, you're right. This product ALONE is not a dupe, because it's only lactic acid and hyaluronic acid. It's not going to give you the added moisture that the more expensive products will. You have to use it in conjunction with other products if you want that. For example, when I switched from the Good Genes to The Ordinary, I used this acid (or the 10%, which I also own) layered with plant-derived squalene and aloe vera gel (both of which are the moisturizing and protecting ingredients in the Good Genes treatment).

Skincare is not something that can be taken care of with a single magical product. It requires work and the right cocktail of ingredients for your skin. This lactic acid is an integral part of my skincare and I will purchase it and recommend it for as long as they make it!
