For the LOVE of Makeup

I've had my eye on this book for quite sometime. Once I was ready to pull the trigger, Beautylish was out of stock.

I panicked.

I started googling to see where I good buy it. Then I said to myself, "Beautylish restocks give them some time."

The Rae Morris Makeup Masterclass is everything I hoped it would be and more. It truly is a beautiful textbook of the MUA's expert knowledge and talent.

I also appreciate her sharing the tools she uses to achieve various looks. Yes it's her brushes and why shouldn't it be when those are the tools she uses. It doesn't mean you have to buy or use them. You have the option and information to do so or use other tools that are similar.

I have Sam Fine, Bobbi Brown, Reggie Wells, Kevyn Aucoin and other books from the pros. Rae Morris Makeup Masterclass is by far my favorite out of my collection of trade books. Every turn of the page I am filled with excitement.

I am thinking about buying additional copies as gifts for a young MUA I mentor, my daughter and another dear friend. It's that awesome!!!

Favorite Gel

I have coarse hair. I love using this gel for updos, twists, braiding or for smoothing my edges overnight with a head scarf.

Rain or shine it keeps my hairstyle choose of the day in place!

An added bonus is my teenagers have different hair types and it works great for their hair types too!

Perfect Lip Balm

Winter has been sucking the life out of my lips. They have been dry, chapped and difficult to soothe. My normal go to are the Fresh Sugar lip tints and balms. Yet, they haven't been able to soothe my dry lips for more than 20 minutes, as of late. And I don't want to repeatedly reapply lip balm throughout the day.

I have a new favorite lip treatment. I winced at the $35 price point; then decided to give it a try as my lips were on the verge of cracking. I am not disappointed with my decision. From the moment I applied my lips felt relief. Due to the density and weight of the lip balm a little went a looooong way and it adhered to my lips. I apply twice a day. Thanks to Mary's review I think I might add it to my night routine before bed.

Oribe Balmessence Lip Treatment was a great buy and a welcomed addition to my beauty routine and a treat for my lips.

Great Tray

I purchase this tray because it was just to pretty to resist.

It is small. However, all that means is I need to buy another one. Great quality!

Favorite brush

I love WG's The Airbrush; I use it with a colored pressed powder to effortlessly give myself an airbrush look.

Without fail everyday I use this brush, people compliment me all day about my makeup. Some don't even realize I am wearing foundation.

Wrinkle Eraser

I started using Buffet morning and night. My skin within 48 hours felt smoother/ softer. After a week my expression lines around my mouth began to soften along with my fine line underneath my eye area.

I did notice my foundation peeling one morning when I was rushing. After that I just made sure to give the product 3 to 5 minutes to allow my skin to absorb it. My foundation goes on as smooth as silk with no peeling/rolling at all.
