Beauty Product Reviews

Great clarifying shampoo!

I have needed a good clarifying shampoo that would be effective on the scalp, but gentle on the rest of the hair. This is it! We have VERY hard water. After time I get a buildup on my hair that makes it hard to even get my hair wet. I try to wash my hair every other day to help reduce this buildup. Not great when you have oily roots. I deducted a star because I really didn’t care for the fragrance.

Obsessed!

I have natural blonde, fine hair that is curly in the back and wavy in the front. I have problems with putting product in my hair, because my hair gets easily weighed down and also easily can look either crunchy or greasy depending on the texture of the product. This gives my curls life and keeps my head from turning into cotton candy in this global warming, high 90’s/ 90% humidity situation. When did I move to a swamp? And it smells great. An alligator totes gave me a side eye.

Best serum I’ve used so far

I’m so addicted to Farmacy! The packaging concept is great. I love the lid/dropper. This serum is a nice consistency; not oily and absorbs well into the skin. I try to use it twice a day, but sometimes forget in the morning. I haven’t been using it long enough to see a huge difference, but I already have noticed that when I apply my moisturizer it absorbs more readily instead of sitting on the skin surface. Also, I have rosacea and very sensitive skin and eyes and this does not affect me.

So calming and good for sensitive eyes

I have such sensitive eyes. I’ve tried eye creams in the past and they always burned my eyeballs then I gave up trying to be preventative. However, last year I turned 40 and have started again, Tarte=burned, etc. I ended up using my mom’s eye cream because she had an extra jar, but it’s not cruelty-free. I think the reason why it doesn’t burn is because it’s made from bunny tears. So, I’m very happy to have found this product. I have puffiness and dark circles (I’m like glow-in-the-dark pale, so I don’t know if this product can help the fact that my veins show through my skin) , but haven’t been using this long enough to see a noticeable difference in either of these issues. Same with the anti-aging situation.

Been looking for a product like this!

I worked at the Body Shop in high school ( in the 1900’s) & they sold an exfoliating product that was sort of like this, but only made from one ingredient. Fast forward to when they stopped making it and me sobbing over the black heads and dry flaky skin on my nose. I actually mix the product into my gel cleanser. I know that it’s designed to be used on it’s own with water, but I feel like I skip a step this way. I have rosacea and I have very particular, sensitive skin. This helps get rid of the dry flakes without making the rosacea angry.
