Not impressed

Okay, let's start with the good. These brushes have good weight to them. The ferrule doesnt wiggle on the handle like many brushes ive had over the years. And the hairs are soft. I actually quite like the 2 blush/powder brushes. And the case is pretty nice, definitely not a cheapo. Now for the not so good. While these brushes have a good weight, they feel awkward in my hand, like the thicker eye brushes feel too wide, too thick? I can't quite put my finger on that part. The eye brushes are either tiny pencil brushes or thicker packing brushes, and all are dense and rather stiff for my personal liking. I absolutely can not diffuse an ultra pigmented shadow with them. Next is quite a bit of shedding and the hairs breaking off on my face, specifically with the flat top kabuki type brush. And the teeny tiny fan brush is lost on me. Please dont get me wrong, these are not bad brushes, but I do think they're priced high for what they are. Brushes are so personal, what one person loves another may hate and vice versa. These were a gift to me from someone who doesnt quite understand that and im hesitant to return for that reason.

Perfect

I recently bought both of the pro palettes and was really taken with them and decided i wanted everything Viseart makes. Trying to narrow down what to spring for next was a bit more of a challenge, Coy or Liaison, how is a girl to pick, besides buying all. As soon as a saw Anastasia's sneak peeks of Instagram I knew this was going to be my next. I received a text to preorder, which was super convenient and helpful. Soleil arrived and I was blown away with how cute it is! Im a swatcher, knowing that swatches dont mean much, but I do it anyway. Full disclosure, it didnt swatch all that wonderfully. I assume because there are less "buttery" emollients and such. Which makes for a better, longer lasting shadow, in my opinion. I dont work in film but I'd imagine under lights the "buttery" shadows would melt, no pun intended. Point being if it doesnt swatch don't feel discouraged! Use it and love it! I got a solid 9 hours of wear before I washed it off and it hadn't changed whatsoever.

Proceed with caution

I got this in my lucky bag and was just a little bummed, as my undereyes dont tend to get puffy or dark, but i figured, i have it, i may as well give it a try. I did notice a slight awakening effect, and thought that was pretty great. Im noticing though, ive been getting tiny little red spots. No head, not like a pimple, more like a rash. Didnt even think about it until now, this is the only new thing I've used and the first time in my life I've gotten this rash. It isnt particularly painful and covers up with makeup, but still, i have enough to cover wothout this. I'm not sure if its an allergic reaction or what, but proceed with caution.

I can't see it

Where is the pigment? I fell madly in love with the Inglot brow liner gel and got the idea in my head that I'd love them for brows in general. So I scooped up a pencil, which was... meh. Fine. And this. I thought both would be great for days I dont want an ultra sculpted brow, or a 20 minute brow situation. I literally can't see if on my brows or the skin where I should have brow hairs and dont. Honestly hoping I'm doing something wrong, should I be using this wet? I'm fair and blonde so while the color I chose isn't particularly dark it should definitely show up on me, right?

My favorite!

When I first bought abh dipbrow I thought to myself "this is it!". And then it dried out. I rehydrated it with oil. Used it, it dried out again. I repeated this process over and over until it smelled bad(maracuja oil went bad) and just wouldn't come together anymore. I ended up throwing it away, only used half. When I received the Inglot liner I was a little sad at how tiny the pot was, but I've been using it for several months, it's still creamy and soft, and I have a ton left. I consider it a better investment. And it stays on my overplucked 90s minimal brows(skin) until I want it gone! Scoop some out and put it on the lid rather than leaving the lid off and dipping repeatedly, store it upside down, and enjoy it forever!

Not his best

Man... I'm a little let down. I wasnt blown away, obsessed, had to have this palette from the get-go, but as someone with a makeup hoarding situation, I got it. I have all of Jefree's palettes and this one just isnt on the same level as the others, for me. The formula of the mattes is great, aside from quench, submerge and splash, which are just good for me. I decided I needed the middle row, the glittery, shimmery beauties. But omg, the fall out is insane for me. Glitter everywhere. Wet brush, dry brush, finger, it doesn't seem to matter much. Not the worst but I expected better. Now my real let down is silly, but my particular palette was just not put together very nicely. A few of the shimmers look as if they melted and resolidified at an angle, pans are glued in crooked or are loose, and aren't flush. Again, I'm fully aware that this doesn't affect the formula, but for 48 dollars I would really prefer the palette look a little nicer. Beautylish has a fantastic return policy but I'm not returning this palette, the top row makes me happy enough to keep.
