Beauty Product Reviews

Not the best

I wanted to love these eyeshadows but I didn't. I like the price, color selection, and concept. However, they did not apply well. A lot of the product dusted up and stayed in the pan instead of sticking to my brush. My Mac shadows do not do that, and they are much brighter and opaque after applied. Mac frequently has sales and choosing the refills to make your own palette is very affordable. I will stick with Mac shadows.

This is a good eyeliner brush. I like it for lining my upper eyelid. The brush really gets into your lashline so that there is no gap between the lashes and your line. It can make a very thin line. However, I prefer the Wayne Goss 8 brush a bit more, I feel like it makes a slightly neater line and you have to redip less into the eyeliner pot to do the job. My all-time favorite brush for the wing portion and finishing detail is the Smith microliner 202. The Wayne Goss 8 and Smith Microline 202 are my favorite combination for a thin detailed winged line.

Not the best for eyeliner

I decided to try this brush based on the great reviews. However, it did not work so great for applying mascara to my lower lid, I preferred the brush that came with my mascara tube. Maybe I'm just not using this brush correctly. It is too big for applying eyeliner (I like thin lines). But I will keep it for eyeshadow detail, it is fine for that.

Great find!

This is the best brush cleaner! I use it every day on my eyeliner brushes. It quickly removes all of the eyeliner from the brush and leaves no residue. A little bottle lasts months. Great find!!

This is the BEST eyeliner brush for lining your lids with gel eyeliner. It gets deep into the lashline so that there is no gap between your lashes and your line. The line is always smooth and neat looking. It holds a surprising amount of liner, so you do not have to redip as often. However, I prefer the Smith microliner 202 brush for the wing and finishing detail. The combination of the two brushes makes a perfect tiny detailed cat eye with gel eyeliner.

Must have for gel eyeliner and mascara!

This is a must have if you wear mascara or eyeliner. Just a few drops in your flaky mascara or liner tube/pot and it will apply easily again. One bottle of Duraline will last over a year, even with frequent use.

Best brush for eyeliner junkies!

Holy Cow, this eyeliner brush is the best makeup find I’ve made ever, except possibly Inglot’s Duraline. They are the top two finds of the decade if you are an eyeliner junkie as I am. So the Smith 202 microliner brush has finally allowed me to do the perfect tiny detailed cat eye I’ve wanted for years. I’ve been doing cat eye makeup for years with navy, brown, and gray gel eyeliners. I was never 100% happy with how it turned out even though I got a lot of unsolicited compliments on my makeup, even from women in their 50s and 60s who said it looked pretty without being overdone. For years I used the brush that came with the L’oreal gel eyeliner after being repeatedly disappointed when buying more expensive eyeliner brushes. Then I decided to try once more to find the perfect brush to get the definition I wanted. I cannot believe I found it. The 202 is perfect. The tip is tiny, pointed, and very firm. I use the side of the brush to line the eyelid/lashline. Then I use the tip to draw a little flick of a wing, and the tip to add a little width to the outer half of the lashline and into the wing. Finally, my eyeliner has always looked like I wanted it to look. I can even wear black eyeliner now which I love. Before the line was just too thick and I didn’t like the heavy effect of black liner. Now my eyeliner is thin and detailed enough to add definition without looking heavy. This really is the best eyeliner brush ever!!!
