This is my favorite toner of all time

I have been using this toner since 2017. I'm 38, but get mistaken for a college student, with sensitive combination type skin (oily t-zone and normal cheeks, dry cheeks in winter.) I get hormonal acne and have types 1&2 rosacea (redness + pustules.) If they discontinue this product I will cry. It used to be available in full size, but is now only in the former mini size.

It has a very earthy, astringent smell that dissipates once dry. It is extremely soothing, but beautifully magnifying. It works well with all of the calming/anti-redness serums and moisturizers I've used with it over the years.

It has helped my skin so much. I no longer have issues with the pustules that look like acne on my cheeks and nose that are part of rosacea type 2 and it has helped make my hormonal acne much more manageable. I rarely have those deep cystic like blemishes that used to be so painful, now they are more like closed comedones.

I high recommend this if you have a similar skin type or issues like mine.

LOVE!

SR products in general have really changed my skin for the better. I’m a true believer. This product in particular works excellent for my combo skin (t zone tends to get slick). It doesn’t dry out my skin causing it to get super oily like other products do. I can’t live without it

My skin is soft!!

It does help appt with mattifying my skin!(I have very oily skin), I've only used it for a few days now so shrinkage of my pores might take a little while. Tbh the only reason I rated it 4 stars was because of the weird scent it gives, besides that I love it!!

I see a difference

When I started to use this toner I immediately saw a difference with my small acne breakouts. Usually around that time of the month I tend to get the two painful acne bumps but since using this, I get maybe one small one that isn't painful at all. I honestly haven't seen a difference with oil control or black heads as of yet, but I am hopeful that as I continue to use this I will see that difference as well. I will have to update you.

I took off one star because the smell! When you first apply it, it actually smells nice and fruity BUT after you pat it into the skin it immediately changes and the best way to describe the smell is dirty wet rag! lol Literally smells like a sponge or rag that has been left out too long while still wet. I hate it! Luckily I finish off my skin care with the may lindstrom blue cocoon balm and that smell helps mask this one for sure. I couldn't leave it on my face alone, too pungent. lol

Soothing

I don't really know how to describe why I liked this so much, but I bought it when my skin was really angry with me after being pretty perfect for a couple years. I have oily skin that is prone to small whiteheads and the occasional cystic pimple around my period. I had accidentally used glycolic and retinol together, so my skin was red and peeling, but this just really calmed down and soothed my skin, helped it smooth out and heal, and it felt really cooling. Despite the ingredients that might sound irritating, it didn't aggravate. The smell might bother some, but I didn't have a problem with it.

I did find a reduction in blackheads and my pores seemed clearer (not smaller, which is impossible). I wouldn't say it made my skin less oily, maybe for the initial couple hours, but not past that.

Overall, if you are acne prone I would definitely recommend something like this over a harsh toner that will strip and irritate your skin, and this is a really affordable option from Sunday Riley's range.
