I recently purchased this eyeshadow trio and it was my first buy from LORAC. I'm extremely impressed! I got Superstar, and I've worn it during the day to work, and also to some holiday parties. I think it's versatile in the sense that you can apply it liberally for day time without it being too bold, but you can easily build up the color for a more dramatic look for night. Overall I'm super impressed with how easily it blended and the pigmentation, so I will definitely be looking into the other shades they offer.
I recently received Superstar as a gift. I was not pleased with it like I am with Rockstar. The shimmer was a bit too much. The darker shade should've been a matte and against my skin tone it actually appeared to wash out my face. Besides the negative the fall out was null and void and of course it stayed with me thru out the day. I tried it on two different days thinking that I needed to give it a chance...light hand, heavy hand....I was not happy with Superstar. :(
I recently picked this up in Rockstar and by far its the best trio in my shadow collection. The colors are rich in color and I can either go really light and keep it as a wash or go really intense (all depending on how much product I place on the brush). I haven't tried it wet though but for the most part its been great used dry. Another plus is the fact that I don't experience any fallout like I do with some lines. I've used this without UD primer and with and both times the color stuck around for a long time without fading or creasing.
Great color payoff, don't like the design.
I like the trio that I got (Starlet) quite a bit. The color payoff is great, and the shadows are pretty velvety with minimal fallout. The only part I don't like about these trios are that the colors are connected instead of in individual pots.
