A conditioning lip balm that protects lips from sun and wind, with soothing effects. Field tested in extreme conditions, this hydrating balm contains antioxidants and superior moisturizers to provide lasting treatment benefits. It provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Shea butter and avocado oil deliver moisture while vitamin E and green tea contribute antioxidant fortification. For powerful sun protection, PARSOL and Octinoxate team up to block both UVA and UVB rays.
This is one of the BEST lipbalms I have ever tried!! Not only does it have SPF it actually protects & soothes your lips!! Most lipbalms just moisturizes your lips temporarily & ones the product wears off you are back to chap lips again. But not the jack black lip balm. After using this lip balm even if it wears off my lips feels softer & less chap. IT REALLY protects your lips & it smells amazing!!
I have heard so much hype about this balm, so I got super excited when I saw a deluxe sample of it as an option for my Sephora 100-point perk. Being the lip balm junky that I am, I was interested to see if this balm was really worth the hype and if it measured up to any other balm products I have tried.
Well, in short, the hype is definitely warranted! This goes on thick and creamy and is very long lasting. Even after it fades, it keeps your lips very moisturized. The flavor I received as my sample (.1 oz) was “Black Tea & Blackberry”. The scent is very strong, but that’s not something I really mind. Its a very clean, berry scent but not one that I would have personally chosen. There are quite a few other flavors available. It also contains antioxidants as well as SPF 25, which just makes this balm even better! The full size (which, if you can’t already guess, I will be picking up pronto) is .25 oz and retails for $7.50, which is a good price, in my opinion, for a “high end” lip balm considering the Fresh Sugar ones retail for over $20.
This is by far the best balm I've EVER used and trust me, I've used tons! I love all the scents with the exception of the lavender vanilla(not bad just not my kinda lip scent) This product is essential for any beauty lover or just any human being! haha It moisturizes without leaving you lips with a coating over them ( making it very easy to put on lipstick shortly after applying)
I am someone who has ALWAYS had very dry skin, but especially on my lips. I have pretty much always had dry, chapped lips, and a bad habit of peeling them (eew). I have done it my ENTIRE life so if my lips are dry, it just worsens the problem, causing me to have bleeding lips - no lipstick for me! And to top it off, every chapstick/balm/gloss on the planet dries them out and makes it worse. The only one that came close to helping was Kiss My Face brand balms...until I tried Jack Black! In ONE day my lips went from dry, peeling, crispy to smooth and moisturized...and I do not remember the last time I had NORMAL, smooth lips! This stuff is great, really great...good texture - not slippery or too thick - it lasts on my lips so I only have to reapply it a couple times a day. I will NEVER be without this stuff! And I can wear lipstick now, yay!!!
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm with SPF 25 can be found at Sephora, Nordstrom and Dillards for $7-$8 depending on where you shop. Jack Black is actually a company that provides grooming products for men. Their products range from hand cream to facial scrubs, shaving creams to facial moisturizers. They boast eco-friendly ingredients, and I was pleased to discover that their lip balm is formulated without sulfates, petro-chemicals and other harmful synthetic ingredients. I first heard about this lip balm from Temptalia, and Christine just raved about it! So I purchased this during my last Sephora order, because I am very picky about my lip balms and I just had to try it. Jack Black products are geared towards men, but this lip balm is definitely gender neutral. You can purchase two scents "Original" and "Lemon & Chamomile." Original has mint in it, so I imagine it has a minty flavor. I purchased Lemon & Chamomile, which tastes like a delicious Lemon coffee cake. I haven't been able to use it everyday like I would like, because it somehow keeps disappearing and reappearing in my boyfriend's nightstand! The formula is very moisturizing, but it isn't sticky at all. As a balm, it is thicker than a gloss, but it is still very creamy and smooth. I am constantly reapplying lip balm or gloss through out the day, and this balm keeps my lips moisturized for 6+ hours depending on my activities through out the day. My boyfriend's lips can be pretty badly chapped, and this balm does just the trick. Overall, I can see why so many have raved over this lip balm. It contains SPF 25 which is essential for any lip balm and other ingredients to help improve the health of your lips. The consistency is almost perfect and it really moisturizes. I will have to purchase another, since my tube keeps disappearing so often. I just wish the tube was a tad bigger! Check out my blog www.izntlifesojuicy.blogspot.com for more reviews and swatches
Wanting to overhaul my faves this month, and get more cruelty free and paraben free items, I came across the BEST vegan and paraben free balm. Its wet, and rich, and doesn't feel like Vaseline...it soaks into the lips effortlessly. The flavor is subtle (I am senstive to smell). I have this in Black Tea & Blueberry. Nothing but the best.
In a nutshell: I've had this for literally a day and I've already made up my mind that I'm going to buy more. This is one of those products that I want to stock up on because I'm afraid it will suddenly disappear and then I'll spiral into a deep depression (okay I'm being dramatic) but this stuff is good. I have been using a stick of Carmex just because it's cheap and strong but I honestly can't stand the smell of it and it's very thick and waxy. I got the JB Lip Balm in Grapefruit and Ginger and it has a very light smell that's not too strong, it's quite pleasant. After hearing everyone RAVE about this, including xSparkage, I wanted to give it a go and here I am, going crazy over the stuff. It's very silky smooth and it feels like it actually sinks into your lips instead of just sitting on top of them. Something very unique about it is that even though it sinks into your lips, it stays on! You know how some products will sink in, but you have to keep reapplying over and over? I went to bed with this lip balm on, and when I woke up it was still there. I'm in love.
I tried a sample of this lip balm at Nordies after hearing great things about it. I can honestly say it works great. It moisturizes my lips quickly. It doesn't feel sticky or waxy like drug store chapsticks. It has a faint scent depending on which one you get. (I had natural mint) My lips are noticeably softer and it helped with cracking and peeling skin. I will be using this for the winter for sure .
Absolutely love this stuff. I have the black tea & blackberry one. Its seriously one of the only lip balms that's worked for me. This balm actually sinks into your lips and truly makes them moisturized. I exfoliate my lips with my Belle Ame lip scrub and put it on and we're set!
I don't know why my lips are always chapped and dry, especially, in the winter time. This is one of the only products that actually works on my lips, and believe me, I have tried just about everything. It actually works!
