OK as primer...

But better (like waaaaaaaaay better) mixed with foundation - you only need a teensy amount - and it makes any bog standard liquid foundation look like velvet on your face. It doesn't necessarily make it matte, but it does exactly what it says... it blurs and smooths out and makes your base look incredible. The first time I used this, I was due to go out with friends for dinner, got home after nine hours of work and was tired, couldn't be bothered redoing a full face of makeup. I blotted off my oiliness, used 1 drop of foundation to reapply on my nose and chin and then used a flat top brush to buff a small blob of this over the top. I didn't have high hopes but WOW. It looked like freshly reapplied foundation! I dusted over some powder, whacked on a bit more blush and some black pencil eyeliner and was out the door. I need to experiment with it a bit more but so far I really like it!

Torn.

I'm completely torn on this product. Used as a primer it's good, not great under only silicone based foundations (Not all of them as stated). My issue is that it looks horrible as a primer if you don't let it dry for a long time, it's somewhat sticky (I like a sticky primer) but you have to let it dry for at least 10 minutes or everything will seperate after the first hour. It's amazing on days you don't want to wear anything, it really blurs out pores & wrinkles. My 38 yr old skin needs a filter😂 So as a primer to me it was ehh, but as skincare it did what it said, well.

Don’t use as primer

Ok so I found the way this product works to its full potential! I first put it down as a primer and felt eh about it.. it’s ok.. but then I mixed it with my fenty foundation. Holy moly! AMAZING! I won’t be with out this product for sure.

it came in the lucky bag. it's the first time i try hylamide product. i dont usually use primer as i hate the siliconey feeling. but this is very different. its main ingredients is hyluaronic acid and it has a smooth and silky feel to it. i apply it around my nose and on my cheeks where dry patches are the most noticable. after applying foundation my skin looks flawless and flakes are nowhere to be found. it is my holy grail. will definately try more products from this brand.

Great primer

I use this with my MAC concealer and powder. It is not greasy feeling like most primers. It definitely takes down shine which makes me wear it even when not wearing any makeup. My overall texture of skin appears a lot more smooth.

Hydrating and Blurring!

This product is phenomenal. I use it as a primer. I have very large pores and this does the trick!

It's okay, not my favorite.

I had really high hopes for this product, however I do feel it did not live up fully to my expectations. I was looking for a primer to help blur my skin imperfections and make applying my foundation an easy and painless ordeal. To me this primer feels too heavy on the skin and makes it harder to attain a flawless looking finish. It also feels slightly "sticky" on which I think contributes to my difficulty in using this.

This primer worked better on a dewier foundations (such as Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea) and less well on drier/matte foundations (such as Fenty).

I'm not sure I would repurchase this again, however, I will continue to experiment with this product to see how I can make it work for me. Some other primers that I enjoy and feel work well with many of my foundations include the Hourglass' Veil Mineral Primer, the Too Faced's Hangover Primer and Smashbox's Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer.

Nice, but not really different than TO primer

It’s a great primer, but The Ordinary High Silicone primer is almost an exact dupe, and it’s $4.90.
