Why did I wait so long?

I don't know why I waited so long to purchase. I love it! Blends beautifully & silky, good tones for my fair, neutral skin. Easy little thing to grab.

Not for the teary-eyed

Lovely soft colors. Pigmented on finger swatches, but powdery on the eye. Not worth the high price in my opinion.

I have tear prone semi-mature hooded eyes, and unfortunately Hourglass Graphik Myth palette does not wear off nicely. It forms a kind of a crust, yes crust, ugh, on the surface where it gets wet, and you can basically scrape it off. I have tried it with both TheBalm and the Inglot primers which work well with my other eye shadows.

On the photo I swatched Graphik Myth alongside the Make-up Atelier T22 Natural Chesnut 5-pan palette. The latter is more friendly for my type of eyes. It swatches more lightly but is lovely on the eye. The darkest and the lightest shades are visibly cooler than in Myth, but all the other shades are either very close dupes or possible to blend from two Natural Chesnut shades.

Greetings from Finland!

Hourglass can do better

They should be ashamed of this powdery mess. I love hourglass. I use their face powders which I own multiple shades and bronzer, foundation stick ( which I have repurchased 3 times) . I had high expectations on these eye shadows. I love neutral colors so I bought the matte palette. I am attaching photos so you can see it was a struggle to give a finger swatch( no primer), then for the swatch with a brush ( MAC 242, painterly paint pot primer) I had to dig in several time and keep swiping to give you a decent swatch. The eye shadow was a struggle to apply, I kept dipping into the palette over & over & over and it still barely looked like I was wearing anything at all. I finally was satisfied with my neutral look and by the time I got home from work my eye shadow was basically gone. I am an NC42 MAC/ 41 DIOR/ Syracuse NARS

So smooth

I love this eyeshadow palette. It's so easy to blend, doesn't cling or get patchy. The shimmer is fine and sophisticated and the mattes are ultra smooth. If you're looking for a no fuss, work/school eyeshadow palette then I'd give this one a go.

OK

There are shadows that blend into one color, lose its own colors - maybe this has happened to you as well and these shadows do that thing, too. I would say this palette is a bit overpriced but I don't regret buying it because cool shadow palettes are so rare these days, I love the colors and I like the compact size of this one.

Their pigmentation is okay to good, they're very smooth to touch, they are easy to blend (but as mentioned blend into "one color" so be careful and you can make it work; important: they do not blend into nothingness like some drugstore have done on me which just sucks) and are beautiful cool colors with a satin finish.

As a reference: Urban Decay Naked Heat or Marc Jacobs shadows are noticeably stronger pigmented (Juvia's Place shadows are on a different planet: Hourglass doesn't even come close) and keep their own color when blended (and are a tiny bit easier to blend).
