How I use Dr. Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap: For eye brushes, lip brushes, etc. I use 2-3 drops of the soap per brush on my hand. For face brushes I use 5-8 drops of the soap per brush on my hand. I usually dilute it with some water but sometimes I can get away without having to. I deep clean my brushes gently in a circular motion on my hand. When I feel like I got most if not all the product off I'll run it under lukewarm water facing downward while using my fingers to go through the bristles to make sure all the soap is rinsed off the brush. I'll repeat this step over again if I still find product on the brush. Almost always though I don't have to! It really does a good job getting all the product off the first time around. After cleaning my brushes then I'll dry it in an angled down position. I usually take an oversize hand towel, fold it in half then take one end and fold it halfway to have one side higher than the other. I lay the handle on the higher end of the towel, while the bristles sit on the lower end. This will help keep any excess water from seeping into the handle of my brush. Repetitive mistakes of not drying your brushes downward can cause the bristles glue to deteriorate from the handle of your brush...... it will definitely shorten the lifespan of your brushes! So, please be careful :)
I can't emphasize this enough, please... please... please clean your makeup brushes! I've always been very anal about this and I've mentioned it in 2 or 3 other posts that it's such a crucial thing to do especially before applying makeup on clients or yourself. Let's keep it sanitary loves!
I have recently gone "green" with all of my skin care and beauty products and I purchased the Lavender 18-in-1 and I fell in love, literally, It says "18-in-1" and ya'll, it really is. I actually used it this morning for my shampoo!! I use it to wash my face occasionally, to loofa my body with it, and best of all it is by far the best makeup cleanser I have ever used! It cleaned my white Sigma brush that has so much residue that would never come off. It is white again! Haha. If you want to start small by greening your routine, I would definitely choose this product to start with! The results are phenomenal!
Magic in a bottle!
I love Dr.Bronner's Peppermint Soap! I mean it's such a nice tingly cooling soap!!! Try it on hot days! On you feet as a soak, or when you just want a refreshing! It's pretty intense so just use caution when using it especially if you have sensitive skin, and on your "delicate" parts! :-)
This is stuff is great . I usually dilute a few drops into the water. I deep clean my brushes gently in a circular motion on my hand. When I feel like I got most of the product off I'll run it under lukewarm water facing downward while using my fingers to go through the bristles. I'll repeat this step over again. Just to make sure that I got all the prouduct off the brushes . I make sure that all the brushes are dry by use a towel and remove all the excess water from the hairs of the brush and let it it air dry over night . This is best thing out there to deep clean your inexpensive and high end brand makeup brushes. Dont get me wrong I still use my mac spot treatment but if you really need to really deep clean your brushes you can not go wrong with this product .
What I like about it also it comes in different scents like Peppermint, Lavender, Almond, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Rose and Citrus Orange . So there is a scent out there that someone will love.
It is easy to find like target , rite aid, walgreen , and your local discount store . The price for this bottle you might be like ,WoW it a little too much . But if you really think about it a little goes along way this bottle all you need is a few drops of this stuff . This will last you a life time.
What I also like about this is the ingredients the oils that it contants will help with the hairs on your brushes lasting a long time. It conditions your brushes so they stay super soft but it keeps them looking brand new!
I will never go back to baby soap nor expensive cleaners ever again
This is my go to cleaner it definitely a staple in my regiment
I cannot believe how it cleaned my make up brushes. Seriously! I have it in almond (this smells so good!) and I want to seriously just bathe in it. I did buy it specifically for my brushes but now I think I am going to use it in my hair. I think it is a fantastic investment (it takes VERY little to be effective) for anyone that wants to be able to get their dirty brushes clean and just have a great smelling soap. I noticed when I washed my brushes (just a few moments ago) my hands feel so smooth! I can't wait to use this more!
I can't exactly remember which scent I tried, but it was the one with hemp and rose or something? Anyway, LOVE these! They can be used for practically anything. However, I only have used it for washing my body and for washing makeup brushes. WARNING: DO NOT USE ON LADY PARTS <--this will sting /: haha
Tea Tree = natural disinfectant! AMAZING foaming brush cleanser technique, read below to STRETCH your dollar!
My brushes are my BABIES, and I spend more money on those than I do on my makeup... TRUTH. I used to use a homemade recipe I tweaked from Enkore, but it required more work...
With this, I dilute it in a foaming cleanser bottle by this ratio: 1/4 soap, 3/4 water. It foams like a DREAM and I SAVE SO MUCH PRODUCT! I have the large sized bottle I ordered via Amazon, and I think at this rate, I'll have this bottle for at least 5 years before I finish it up. Recycle an old foaming soap/cleanser bottle, or find one at your local dollar store or Daiso.
I use it for everything!
I purchased my first 16 ounce bottle of the peppermint soap in February and it lasted almost 3 months, using it as a body wash, a brush cleanser, a cleaner, and sometimes a shampoo. It's strong enough to clean my brushes in one go, and yet it's not stripping. I've only tried the peppermint one, but I might try the unscented or the lavender kind.
One of my favorites
With so many products constantly coming across my desk and being sent to my agent I am very lucky to be able to try endless amount of skin care and color cosmetics. Full disclosure. This is one of the only products I pay money for. It is my must have, I use it personally for soap, shave and facials and do not feel clean without it. Professionally I use it to clean my brushes and kit and keep my clients refreshed as well as for mens grooming shaves. I love the Peppermint for my brushes and for everyday and I love the Almond for the winter months when I like a warmer scent.
Awesome natural product! I use the peppermint one as body wash to reinvigorate my mornings. I love that there are actual essential oils in the soap so it doesn't strip your own oil but adds to them. I also love the fact that you can use it in multiple settings. I've used it for washing my body, my makeup brushes, and for washing delicates. And it works great for all three! I'm so excited to use different scents
