Perfect Setting Powder

love this

This is an outstanding setting power--perfect for baking because it is so finally milled. It really melts into the skin when you press with a damp beauty blender. I was using the RCMA powder previously, which is good--but this product is GREAT.

Good but don't know if I would repurchase

It's definately the best setting powder for baking hands down. I have dry skin so this stuff helps my make up set without making it feel or look drier. I don't think I would repurchase as a) I don't bake much, only on weekends and I don't take a ton of photos so I don't care about flashback from another powder, b)it's expensive, c) call me crazy but I don't like the stopper, I know everyone raves about how the stopper is so good but I see it as annoying when I'm in a rush and have to keep flicking it out of the way to get to the product. For setting the face in general it doesn't oxidise foundation hallelujah, alot of powders I have tried have turned my foundation orange. I do always experience though that setting powder almost 'eats' my foundation on my cheeks, like before I apply powder it looks full coverage, after powder it looks medium. I moisturise, prime and use a foundation brush to apply foundation and a powder brush for powder so I don't get why it happens, but it is a minor thing that you only notice up close. If you do have dry/ normal skin I say just try this and you will probably like it for special occasions or if you go out alot/ take a lot of photos, but if you need something for everyday- like going to work I would say there's probably something better in the drug store.

Still creased/oil showed up quicker than usual

Unfortunately, as much as I love Cover FX, this was a no go for me, personally. I still creased, and not to mention the packaging is a little annoying. It has a cap inside the lid, and you basically have to break it off or flip it upside down with the cap open and dump your product onto the inside of the lid (sorry if that doesn’t make sense, case in point: packaging wasn’t well thought out.) I didn’t want to break the lid because I wasn’t even sure if I would like it.

I loved the finish when I first apply it, however I was oily within two hours. I have combo skin. This might be better suited for those with dry skin.

Also a quick note: this is $3 cheaper than Laura Mercier and it has far less product in grams/ounces and does not do the job that LM does. Will be returning for another Laura Mercier. I always want to try new setting powders but always end up going back to LM.

Great but not holy grail status

I really like this powder but will not repurchase. Nothing beats out the Laura Mercier. But I will use it up.

Soft and smooth

I love this powder i got it about a week ago, ive been using the rcma no color powder for years and wanted ti try something new. The cover fx powder makes my skin feel so soft and it looks really nice. I spray fix plus over it anyway but im liking it alot more than the rcma.

Not too drying, best I've used.

Been searching for a nice setting powder that doesn't dry me out for so long, and I've finally found it. Wish it had a turning mechanism to release small bits of product at a time like the cover fx powders used to have, but overall super happy.

Amazing powder for dry unsee eyes

It's amazing blurs all the liners under your eyes and gives it nice sheen not dry at all.. but it's a bit light on color so if you are tan it will show up on you
