I'm in Love

I bought this set during the Hello Fall Sale, and I'm so happy I did. The largest squirrel powder brush makes this set a steal at roughly $245. I love that the powder brush is all squirrel, and that the rest of the brushes are a squirrel blend, save for the last lip brush. Most of the recent Chikuhodo holiday sets have been goat hair sets, and retail for $240, so I'm really happy Beautylish offered this set. After washing, these brushes bloom beautifully, especially the powder brush. I'm attaching an image to this review. In it, you will see how gorgeous the powder brush blooms in comparison to the Chikuhodo MK-UM, the KZ-02, and the FO-01. I even used the smaller highlighter brush as my foundation brush today, and it applied my powder foundation easily. The eye brushes performed so well with my Natasha Denona Retro palette. What a wonderful set. If Beautylish ever offers this set again, grab it. You won't regret it.

Wonderful intro to fude

If you've ever been curious about fude or you want to begin somewhere but feel overwhelmed, I strongly recommend this set. You get a combination of several hair types: Water Badger, Weasel Hair, Grey Squirrel/Fitch, Pine Squirrel, Grey Squirrel, and Saikoho. That alone makes this set so much worth every penny. Trying the different bristle types and getting more acquainted with the variations will really benefit you long term in your fude journey.

My personal favorite from this set is actually the Eyeshadow brush. It is a combo of squirrel and weasel and before discovering this I never experienced weasel hair before. What a great combo because the slight stiffness of weasel combined with the forgiving squirrel hair makes this brush a dream to work with.

If you're already a die hard fude collector or a beginner, this is essential and so underrated.
