I have heard Essie doesn't go on well. And it chips easily. Is that true.

I love Essie and haven't really had many issues with it. It really depends on which color you get. The bottle in the picture chips easily and I have a metallic gold one that goes on horribly. Other than those 2 I love the opaque creme Essie polishes. They generally only take 2 coats, go on well and last.
