My brothers hair was dreaded. he was lay on the couch twisting it while moving his fingers up and down twisting again. then he shaved it, now he's growing it out again to dread it. do you get your scalp cleaned?

If you're impatient, like I am, you can go to a salon and have someone start the process. They backcombed sections, twisted them, and then ripped them apart until the length of my hair was knotted up. Then the roots mat on their own. Haha, they require a lot of attention.

I miss the versatility of my old hair, I miss styling it, I miss having it bright colors, but I'm pretty content with my dreads. I'm considering dying them green so they fit me better,haha.
