Foiling VS Straight Application

The difference btw foiling pigments and straight application. Great technique for statement and party looks. Mica Cosmetics loos pigments are AMAZING so finely milled that this really came out like a thin layer of foil

SO easy to do! Unlike the conventional method of foiling if you YouTube it, here, you mix. On YouTube, while great quick methods of applying eye shadow, they are not truly "foiling" by definition. You'll see many girls just wetting their brush and dipping it in powder and applying. This does enhance it, but you're not creating foil. So, take any compact mirror that is easy to clean and put a small amount of pigment onto it. Then dip your brush in water and start mixing it in the pigment, if it is too caky, add a drop of water by wetting your finger and adding a drop(don't re-wet the brush, the pigment will bleed).Then mix more. You want the ratio of pigment to water to be 1.3:1.7, so not quite 1:2. You want it like a thick paste, and then just apply how you want! Just be aware that this is like a foil, it is not very securely attached to your lid so it will flake. Setting it with a setting spray is best. Wow, that is sounds easier than I expected (on paper)! I'm sure using it is a little harder in real life though, but I am definitely curious to give it a go :) thank for your reply, and video tutorial would be very helpful. I will look forward to watching it if you do make one.
