I gathered the top half of my hair and twisted it into a bun in the middle of the back of my head, but slightly to the left so that there is room for the braid. At that point it looked like a half up-do. I braided the rest of my hair over my right shoulder and twisted the braid up and around the bun. I used a lot of bobby pins, lol.
