I use the MAC 226 brush for my lid (gesso matte), then I used the MAC 275 brush for the application in the crease. When I used "Deep Truth" I used the MAC 217 blending brush to blend it out. I haven't tried this look with the black yet because I wanted to try it with a square, flat eyeshadow brush (similar to the pic below). I was thinking a brush like this would define the darker color a little bit. I use the MAC 266 brush for the application of the colors under the bottom lash. Also, when blending make sure to hold the brush lightly and towards the middle. This will allow for easy blending :) if you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)

Yeah, it does look like black, I have yet to try it with the black.

Sure :) when I went, I showed them this exact pic and the artist picked out "gesso matte," "electric eel," and "Deep Truth" (because if you look closely, in the corners it looks like a deep blue was blended) However, when I tried this look with the Deep Truth blended, it looked a little off. I went to another MAC store and the girl told me she used black, rather than dark blue to blend. She recommended using an eyeliner crayon and blending out or you could use "carbon" eyeshadow. This isn't my personal look, but feel free to save this pic and take it in with you and ask them what they think about the color blended in the corner :) Also, I would go for "Angel, Cremé Cup, or Dreaminess" in MAC lipsticks.
