Just took a heart hole puncher I got from Micheals and punched I through a piece a tape. Applied the tape over dried nails, painted over the tape and then quickly took it off.

I just tried this! It worked so well, but instead of using a heart hole puncher I folded the tape in half and cut a heart out of it then peeled it apart, worked just as well!

I tried doing that first but it took me forever to get the right shaped heart and I kept tearing the heart in half when I tried to peel the tape apart. The hole puncher method is a lot easier.
