Hi Kate, I put a blob of red varnish next to a blob of white varnish on a bit of card and using a smallish sized dotting tool I swipe down the middle to get a bit of each colour on the tool. Then I draw a little 'c', put more varnish on the tool and draw another and then an other and the effect is a nice little rose! Finish off by adding leaves in with a dark green using a small dotting tool! Hope that helps... Kx
