I actually used a cheap conair crimper from Target haha. The medium sized one. But, obviously a chi waver would work just as well. I started by sectioning off my hair in 3 main layers. Next, I took a hair strand about an inch wide from my bottom layer and continued around my head until I was done. Then so on to the next layer and so forth. What's crucial to having good volume is to crimp next to your roots and hold it up until it cools.
