When I wash my hair I use a little shampoo and mix it with conditioner. I brush my hair with a wide-tooth comb and add hair mayonnaise and tie it up. I put a silk cap or pillow case and I'm ready for bed.

- I wash my hair every other night, but I add the hair mayo every night.

- When I'm ready to style my hair with hair products I usually add gel and hairspray and let it dry. Once its dry I add my hair cremes to it so makes it look and feel soft.

Note : I use Three different leave in conditioners.
Shea butter by Cantu
Olive Miracle
Hair mayonnaise by Organics.
(I also use normal Olive Oil)

Absolutely beautiful curls. I use that shampoo it works so good. But I usually use tresseme 24 hour volume to give volume to my curls. Cantu is the best leave in conditioner I have ever used

My daughter have the Same type of curls.. Only shorter because she is Just 3 years old. It is soooo pretty... You have tips to let her hair grow faster??

I would honestly say to just give her vitamins and tie her hair up before bed in a bum to keep the curls in tact. Use olive oil, vitamin E oil, or baby oil.

The only thing I can add is that if you are experiencing drying, hence all the moisturizing products, is to keep the shampoo to your scalp, keep it out of the tips. Combing your conditioner through your hair is great and rinse with as cool of water as you are willing to tolerate, this seals the hair follicles so that it wont frizz as bad. If my hair is extra dry I will use the olive oil in the shower as my conditioning step and continue with the rest of my shower, the steam opens the hair follicle and lets the olive juice do it's thing and then rinse with cool water. Avoid straightening it at all if you can, I have cousins with great curl like yours that has turned to poop over the years of straightening irons and heat! Your curls are beautiful, cherish them!

Thanks for the add on. I couldn't have explained it better. I rarely straighten my hair anymore because at one point I experienced major hair damage from straightening my bangs everyday. I straighten my hair once a year now. When it comes to shampoo, I always leave the shampoo and conditioner on from the minute I step in until I get out. which is 25 - 30 so it can soak in properly.

Alright so this is kind of embarrassing, but my hair mats together all the time! Does this ever happen to you? How would you avoid it?

Honestly, I know the feels. Mt hair is so curly its close to impossible to run your fingers through it. Super embarrassing. I don't think there is much you can do to avoid or prevent it from happening. Your hairs going to do what your hairs going to do. Especially if it has any form of curl or volume to it.

I appreciate your honesty and thank you! I will try to accept my tangledness. I did notice you slept in a silk cap though. Can you explain the benefit? Would it stop morning knots at all?

No problem at all.

You see people with ethnic hair or curly hair in general should sleep with silk caps or silk pillow cases or even a scarf so it prevents breakage and split ends. Which over time fixes the frizz.
