The base of the brush acts as a holder, representing a snow-capped Mt. Fuji. To create the unique piece, the Japanese master artisan fused modern technology and two traditional Japanese woodworking techniques:
- Yosegi: the art of joining different wood pieces to create a pattern
- Kumiki: the art of intricately interlocking wood pieces together
The wood’s natural variation in color and pattern makes each piece one of a kind.
