5 Pink Makeup Products You Need to Pull off Summer’s Hottest Trends

Tomorrow is National Pink Day, a holiday dedicated to one of the peppiest shades on the color spectrum! Symbolizing love, acceptance and compassion, pink also represents important causes, including breast cancer awareness, anti-discrimination, anti-bullying, and inclusivity. The rosy shade also happens to be my favorite color, so I guess you could say I’m tickled pink to celebrate it.

Here are my pink makeup picks, plus tips on how to pinkify this summer’s hottest trends. Don these looks to honor this happy color and all that it embodies!

Danessa Myricks Beauty ColorFix 24-Hour Cream Color Matte in Freedom, $18

This summer, take your eye makeup to new heights with the floating eyeliner trend. These lines hover right above where you’d typically apply for a geometric take on your favorite liquid looks. In honor of National Pink day, go for a hot pink graphic design with major staying power. Danessa Myricks Cream Color in the shade Freedom will help you create highly-pigmented works of art that withstand water, humidity, sweat—whatever summer throws your way. Dip an eyeliner brush into the creamy formula and sweep it above the highest part of your crease, starting slightly below your inner brow and stopping where your brow ends.

Sugarpill Cosmetics Pressed Eyeshadow in Tokyo, $13

From lemon yellows to candy apple greens, vibrant eye shadow became a go-to while we’ve been masked up. Using a small pencil brush, apply a striking pink shadow (like the Sugarpill shade Tokyo) to your tear ducts. Drag it into the inner corner of your lid for added brightness on National Pink Day.

Lit Cosmetics Lit Glitter in Sugar & Spice, $16

This summer, glitter knows no boundaries. Put it on your lids, lips, cheekbone, temples—anywhere. Experiment with placement by highlighting your brow bone with some high-powered sparkle. I recommend adding an iridescent pink glitter, like Lit Glitter in Sugar & Spice, directly under the curvature of your brow. Layer it for a blinding duochrome effect.

Danessa Myricks Beauty Luxe Cream Palette, $44

As much as I love a classic red, it’s all about pink lips this summer. Whether you’re feeling fuchsia or going for the just-bitten look, make sure you have enough options to get you through the sunny months. I love how the Danessa Myricks Luxe Cream Palette comes with 12 buildable, mixable shades ranging from baby pink to bright magenta.

Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in Tu Me Fait Rougir , $32

Make blush the star of your summer makeup routine by adding a rosy glow. Go for a bright pink shade, like this Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in Tu Me Fait Rougir. The vibrant color alone will instantly improve your mood. Start at the apples of your cheeks and slightly drag upward toward your temples for a nourishing summer flush.
