Inspiration: Beauty and the Beast

Beauties, we know how much you love your Disney characters, so when we heard Beauty and the Beast was hitting theaters in 3D on January 13th, we knew you'd be buzzing about it. But before you line up to see the tale as old as time on the big screen again, we wanted to celebrate the re-release with a bit of beauty inspiration! Check out a few fun ways to fit the classic romance into your look.

Remember the scene when Belle descends the staircase in that gorgeous princess-style honey dress? It’s one of our favorites! Watch Kassie K.'s tutorial to see how she reinterpreted the moment by mimicking the gown’s vibrant golden-yellow hues on her eyelids. Lovely!

Want an edgier effect? Update the look with neon shadow and double wings. Beyonce's video may have been Catherine G.'s inspiration (bottom, far left), but we think it's the ideal way to modernize Belle-inspired eyes.

There are a slew of fabulous ways to rock a 'do fit for a princess. In the film, Belle displays a half-up half-down look that features a looped bun. But she’s not the only royal to sport the look. Catherine Middleton has also tried this version! Watch Livie R.'s tutorial on how to easily re-create the elegant hairdo.

Valentina R. also rocked a gorgeous curled version of the princess style (right). Instead of a bun, she chose to pull back the top half with a few carefully placed bobby pins at the crown.

Sure, Belle and the Beast steal the show but the supporting characters still have spots in our hearts! Lumière, Miss Potts, and Babette may not be ideal for hair and makeup looks, but these animated personalities make great models for one of a kind nail art. Check out how Leslie designed the lovable Disney gang (including Chip!).

Or, let the tale’s cursed rose inspire your next floral manicure. Christina displayed Belle's gown on all of her nails and created the famed flower on just one accent finger (below).
