What kind of top coat do you use? No matter what top coat I use, it always smears my design and ruins it.

I use the one from Essie. Try applying a thick layer of top coat - this should prevent bristles from touching the design and smearing it. Hope this helps :)

Try to apply a thinner layer of polish. And if even this don't work, use a beauty sponge like me - again thin layer and go over twice if needed for more opaque effect.

If the polish above the tape comes off when you remove the tape this may be because the polish has already dried too much. Try applying a thinner layer of polish and remove the tape very quickly, before the polish dries. Also remove the tape in the same direction as you were applying the nail polish. If it's still not working try applying the polish with a sponge instead of a polish brush. If the polish below the tape comes of, then the glue on your tape is too strong. Stick the tape on the back of your hand a few times to make it less strong and then stick it to the nail. I hope this will help you, good luck!:)
