Hi Guys, long time no tutorial I keep saying that with all my videos, but it's true and I'm so sorry. I still haven't learned how to balance this and work, and trying to have a life outside of work and this and it's just really really hard.
I'm back with a tutorial, well this tutorial's for this look right here, it's a really natural, neutral look. It's the same look I did with my haul video where I showed you my Coach and all that. I'm using the same exact colors, cause a few of you've asked me about, know what I use and what not.
So it's a really simple look, I use this a lot when I'm going to work, cause it's you know, it doesn't require too much blending and it's really forgivable for those who have trouble applying colors and what not, cause it's neutrals.
So, it's for this, and at the end I kind of switch up the lip, just to show another alternative, since the eyes are so neutral, you can wear a bolder lip, a dark lip if you wanted, a red lip, kind of like a pin-up thing like that. So stay tuned for that at the end if you want something a little more colorful for the lips.
On to the tutorial! Thanks for watching.
OK. Hold up. One more thing. I need to say this here.
If you don't know it yet, and you don't follow me on twitter, I know I say that all the time, If you don't follow me on twitter.com/macnc40 but if you don't know already, I actually got YouTube partner. Yay we're partnered now so now I can have the banner and all that cool stuff. But I just wanted to share that with you guys, and I just wanted to say it's because of your guys, so thanks, thanks so much for that and I got a few more things for the contest.
Check out my other YouTube channel, I say it in the blog, vlog I should say about a few of the things that i've gotten to stick on there. I have one more video to upload to the suz-meister one that I talk about other prices. So yeah, check that out, subscribe, blah blah blah and yeah I just wanted to say big thanks to you guys, I really really appreciate all the views and thanks to all my dream team buddies, cause they always shout me out and what not, and the thing I'm most excited about is the thumbnails, cause I'm sure you've noticed, I try to pick the one that I don't look the most stupid in, but I always ended up, like my eyes closed in my thumbnails, it was driving me insane but OK, that's all I wanted to say so YAY YouTube partner, and thanks guys. Alright, on to the tutorial. Bye.
Alright, so I already primed my eye with a primer, I used soft Ochre Paint Pot, looks like that, a little focus, looks like that any kind of neutral, every day base would do. Then I define my eyebrows by using this right here its the highlight from the go brow from Anastasia.
Another substitute could be a lighter concealer but I went ahead and just put that under my eyebrows and you can either blend it with your finger or a brush and it just really makes your eyebrows pop and defines the shape of them, and I groom them with the brow finisher in wheat. And this just helps your eyebrow stay in place, cause it has all the wax in it.
So after that I used this color right here, for all over the lid, this color. Oh then you can see all the stuff in the back. Any kind of a light, kind of a shimmery, a soft shimmer color on the lid and just where the crease is, just like that. You can't see too much. Oh there you go, cause of the lighting.
So just put that on with any brush, whatever you like, I'm just using a flash air brush 239. And then I'm gonna be using this color right here, it's like a brownish color, it's like a frost. I can't remember if I said this already, but this is from the Antiquity's Collection for Christmas 2007, and it's the metallic eyes.
So I'm just using this brown color, lid 222, and I'm just putting this in the crease, like that. And then you want to put it in the crease, and then be blending upwards.
Yeah, it is American Idol in the background. K. Just like that and then blend up. You can use a separate brush, you can use the same brush whatever works for you.
K just like that. Now what I'm gonna do is I wanna use a matte brown color to define the crease even more. I'm just using Mac's Handwritten. It's from the Matte 2 Collection. And it's a warm chocolate brown, and i'm just going back and forth in the crease just to have a little more definition you can see it looks deeper where I put the Handwritten at.
I'm just going to bring it around the eye like this. K i'm just gonna use a 220 oh 217 brush to blend it out a bit. Alright, after that I'm using a matte highlight, cause I don't wanna have my whole eyelid and eyebrow bone all shimmery.
I'm using type Blanc, like I always do. It's a light matte color, the 252, and then putting that all over the brow bone. And then blending that into the brow.OK.
After that, for the inner corner, I'm just gonna be using the same, light highlight color from here, and I'm using a 219 brush. So you wanna put that in there like that an then blend it in, and blending over here too.
K just like that. Alright and then for the lower, right there, Im just using this brown again, and i'm just using, what brush is this, 228, any kind of small brush would be great. like that, and blend that into the highlight color. And then I'm just gonna deepen it a little bit with that, again with the Handwritten, matte brown color.
Ok and after that, you can go ahead and line your eyes. I like to always use black eyeliner, cause that's how, I just love black eyeliner. But if you wanted to have it a little softer, you can use a brown eyeliner, and it'll look a little, you know, not too bam, you know like I do with the black eyeliner. And you can also just skip the lashes, I like lashes, so there you go on that, so I'll see you after I put all that on.
OK. So after you have all that on, you eyeliner, mascara, lashes, whatever you wanna put on, you wanna go ahead and do a neutral lip. I use this for every day, slim shine lipstick. It's a limited edition, it's a gentle shimmer, so you can kinda see it like that. It's a really light color. I really like slim shines, see it's just like a light color, and it's shimmery, it's not really that sticky to me. And so thats a nice alternative if you want shimmer.
This is a great look for a really bold lip also because since it's so light on the eyes, you can go ahead and change it up, and do russian red, and I'll show you that right now. So this is how it looks with the russian red. I just lined my lips and filled it in with Mac's Brick Lip Liner, and I filled it in over that with MAC's Russian Red Matte, matte red color, it's a red blue toned. So yeah you can wear it with the bold lip, or you can wear it with a neutral lip.
You can really just go ahead and play with it, whatever you like. So yeah, that's it for this look, and I hope you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. Bye.
