Summertime is upon us and I couldn't be happier. I am most inspired and imaginative when the season is SUMMER! I love being outdoors and feeling the warmth of the sunshine on my skin, hanging out with friends laying out by the lake, and watching the sun set after a long warm day spent swimming in the water.
Show More Summertime is upon us and I couldn't be happier. I am most inspired and imaginative when the season is SUMMER! I love being outdoors and feeling the warmth of the sunshine on my skin, hanging out with friends laying out by the lake, and watching the sun set after a long warm day spent swimming in the water.

The idea of using water as an integral part of a beauty story has always intrigued me. The challenge of finding waterproof foundation, eyeliners, cheek colors, and lip glosses that would withstand the strength of the water's ability to wash away pigment, tone, and adherence was thrilling. In "AQUEOUS" I chose one of the most beautiful faces, Kaet Lane, to take on my updated vision of one of the synchronized swimmers in an old black & white Busby Berkely musical from the 1930's. To capture the intense color of my work and unpredictable movements of water, I enlisted one of the most talented and generous
photographers, Sean Armenta, to join me on this challenge and take the traditional beauty story into a wondrous world of aqueousness.

Mathias Alan is a makeup and hair artist that began his career in Los Angeles over 10 years ago and is extremely talented, creative, and passionate about his craft! Mathias has painted gorgeous faces and created eye catching hairstyles for the red carpet, pop music icons, on air talent, and numerous commercials and music videos. In addition to his experience choreographing runway shows, hosting cosmetics educational seminars, and keying fashion week makeup teams, he is also featured as an on air celebrity makeup artist expert with the Cloutier Remix agency.
