A Soft Shimmery Primer Ideal for correcting Redness and giving a glow
I'm new to using the Shu Uemura range but slowly getting to know it bit by bit. This is a nice little product. I bought it in a sale a few months ago and I find that it's really beautiful to add a soft glow to the skin. It's not a sticky texture which is a nice change for a primer with shimmer. The colour blends in really well and corrects redness subtly.
Downside - it's pricey for only a small amount of product. There are other primers and skin enhancers which are better value for money. However this is a nice product.
Matte Medium Coverage Foundation with Great Colour Choice
There was a lot of buzz around these Illamasqua Skin Base's so I bought a few in the range. For shoots they are really great as they have no SPF and work wonderfully under studio lights, however for day to day wear the product does not last on the skin for more than a couple of hours and it is quite dry.
All in all a great product for makeup artist - the colours are easy to blend and mix. But for a customer/client I probably wouldn't choose to use this over other foundations.
My All Time Fav Concealor
This is the best concealor I've ever come across. I use this on myself. It last ages and when applied the product goes along way. It's not heavy but provides a beautiful semi matte coverage. Also particularly great on wrinkles as it doesn't look obvious. I'm in love with this. Can't rave about it enough - I even buy it as prezzies for friends and family. The only down side is there could be darker shades in the range. With only 3 shades and the darkest colour not being very dark I rarely use this in my kit. Shade "smooth light" is my perfect colour but it wont be any good if you have a tan or a dark skin tone.
Mac's BEST concealer
In my opinion this is Mac's no 1 concealer. Creamy enough that it doesn't settle in the lines of the skin yet with enough coverage to hide dark marks and undertones. Less thick than Studio Finish but with a more blend-able texture. I use this on shoots and would definitely recommend it! Previously it was the Select Moisture Cover that everyone raved about but this has quickly become the popular one. The only gripe I have with it is that a lot of product comes out in one go and you don't really have the control to stop this from happening. The packaging would be great if it were plastic instead of glass for those of us whom are clumsy! Worth buying - yes!
Water Spray, Mixing Medium, Makeup Fixer - it does EVERYTHING
This is a great product. I use it on myself everyday and on clients and jobs. For one it is a great prep for the skin full of green tea and chamomile to soothe and calm. But even better it works as an amazing mixing medium. Spray a little onto the back of your hand and mix loose pigments into it to create a much stronger version of the colour. Also handy now Mac have made this in a smaller travel size bottle. I love it. One of my most used skincare products. Set makeup by spraying it over the face. It will make you look plastic... in a good way!

Super Super Pigmented Cream Shadow
I love these cream pigments for shoots and jobs but if you're wearing them for a makeup look day to night you will need to touch up as they do crease after a few hours. However don't let this put you off! The colour pigment is so pure! It is literally liquid metal! Amazing for intense high fashion looks and also great on lips! Surge is my favourite of the lot! Kind of gold but also a bit of silver. Every MUA should have this in their kit!
LARGEST angled brush ever and perfect for liner and brows!
I LOVE this! A fellow mua told me about it and I haven't stopped obsessing over it ever since! It's the largest angled brush I've come across and it is so sharp. Ideal for doing brows with water/powder and great for using as a lip brush for precision and gel eyeliner brush! I'll take 2 please!!
A quick mousse tan for emergency nights out that doesn't smell too bad!
I'm super pale so I'm not a fan of fake tan in general. I have had this before. It builds really well and doesn't smell too bad either. I definitely prefer it to the lotions with fake tan in them as this washes off and looks natural when applied. I would recommend getting that sponge glove to apply it as otherwise your hands will stain. Great for quick tans when you haven't got time to spend waiting in your smalls for the lotion to dry!
Great foot scrub for those times when you don't have a sandy beach nearby!
This is lovely! I use it in the summer when I don't have a beach to walk barefoot on! It is slightly grainy and is best used in the bath. You need to work it in before you put your foot in the water and push the granuels into the skin to effectively remove everything or the product wont rub in properly. I'm a huge fan of the Lush range and this pot actually last forever as well!
