Idk if this is in the right section, so sorry if it isn't.

Anyways,
My lips are chapped. REALLY chapped. I can't wear lipstick or lipgloss , it sinks into the massive gaps, really stings and just looks stupid. I wanted to know what I can do about it.I'm going to a party tomorrow! :[
Thanks Guys
Eve
(Oh, and a very very happy easter to all those who celebrate it!)

I had super chapped lips too. The best remedy is to take a small drop of coconut oil and apply it over your lips. It takes away all the "chappiness". If you don't have coconut oil, you can also use melted butter. These act as laxatives and help bring back the smoothness. I know that sometimes lip balms just make your lips more dry. Use Burt's Beeswax lipbalm. The best there is. It won't make your lips even more dry or anything like that. I would suggest putting on the oils before going to bed or you might just lick them off! I hope this helps.

Are you near a Sephora? Go pick up one of the Fresh "Advanced Therapy Sugar Lip Treatments,"they're utterly fabulous. they're thick, so you can feel them on your lips, but they really do moisturize and prevent further chapping. I used to live in the Northeastern USA, and during the winter my lips used to get horrible and chapped until they bled. This lip treatment was completely lifesaving. It really, really works and I highly recommend it.

Have you tried exfoliating? Mix sugar and oil and rub it on your lips or use a spare toothbrush to exfoliate. When I have chapped lips, I actually use a moisturiser for dry skin (like e45) on them, sounds weird and it's probably wrong but it works.

I like Carmex lipbalm, Blistex and Elizabeth Arden Eight hour cream.. the first two will probably be available in pharmacies so you should check those out :)

I would exfoliate gently with a wet, nubby side of a cotton washcloth. I'd then moisturize using Tarte's hydrating scrub or (I love Fresh lip) I'd make my own Fresh dupe. A little brown sugar, organic coconut oil and pure vanilla extract. The Nivea lip butters are a great way to hydrate through the night. My lips get dry when I get dehydrated so I'd up the water intake. You can also open a vitamin E capsule and drench your lips with that and a touch of honey. Feels so nice!

I would recommend using an exfoliator. they have good lip exfoliators at lush, but you can also make one at home with olive oil and sugar. and the top it off with lip balm! I really like the eos, and the sugar one from sephora.

Don't use eos. lol. that won't do a thing for chapped lips. try nivea or blistex :)

I used to have chapped lips in winter. I just applied Vaseline before bed and my lips would be incredibly soft 💕

Before you sleep, brush your lips with your toothbrush very gently before you sleep! Be very very gentle. Afterwards put on a lip balm or anything moisturizing for your lips. You'll see a huge difference the next morning

After you brush your teeth, you could put a lip scrub and use your tooth brush to exfoliate your lips. I make my own lip scrub with sugar, Vaseline, coconut oil, and honey. Afterwards, I seal it with Vaseline, ChapStick, or any lip protectant.

Exfoliate in the shower with your wash towel. Them moisturize when you get out and after you brush your teeth.

Petroleum jelly or vaseline work amazingly well - good luck xx
