That's okay. what you're trying to do isn't a smoky eye. I don't know the name for it lol. but people always mistake it for a smoky eye. a smoky eye has the darkest color on the lid, black for instance, then would transition to a brown. it's have to blended very well to give the smoky effect. hope this helped :)

You just need to darken the outer point of the eye and blend it only half way in for a more shadowed smokey eye, but it still looks nice in
