You probably have dandruff, a home remedy is vinegar, you can mix some vinegar with olive oil and put on a shower cap, keep it on for 1-2 hours then take a shower, you will feel the difference.

@izzah thank you! will the smell of vinegar go away with shampoo? haha!

I wouldn't use vinegar although it does work! It is very hard to remove te smell and makes your hair feel dry and rough for a while (what I found after I used it). Try an antir dandruff shampoo and conditioner set us had head and shoulders. Once a week apply a mask or an oil us has macadamia These are all the the things I do to conquer the dryness x

Oh yes I forgot to mention about the smell, the smell definitely makes you wanna die for those 1-2 hours hahahah but it goes away with the shampoo so dw about that :)

Another thing is mayonnaise - again an extremely smelly thing to use hahah but my mum mixes it with vinegar and her head stopped itching and her hair was unbelievably silky and smooth almost like those shampoo commercial ladies :')
Anyways cece is right you can apply hair masks however I wouldnt rely on the anti dandruff shampoo too much cuz honestly it didnt work on me and my hairfall also increased :/
I really hope this helped x

I have the same problem. Head and Shoulders does wonders for my hair.

Either try coconut oil, apply to your scalp and let it sit for at least an hour then wash your hair. Another way is to apply YELLOW listerine to your roots and rinse out with shampoo do this ever second day. It doesn't work for everyone but it does for some.  http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_NBA8xrv4wM.

Coconut Oil on the scalp can cause an increase in strand loss. I have psoriasis of the scalp so I feel your pain. Sally Beauty has a "Generic" Tea Tree Oil treatment that soothes, reduces flaking and eases the itch. I boil green tea..let it sit and steep/cool overnight and pour it into a squeeze bottle. After shampooing, I apply the rinse, toss on a turbie twist and let it sit about 30 minutes. Before I rinse it out, I massage my scalp well..then condition my hair.

I'd wash my hair less as well. Retain that precious natural oil on your scalp when you can. Good luck!
