Yes! Is there a general rule the side swipe bangs should be in the same direction as the side the hair is on? Like if I did that look it would be on the left side but my bangs are trained to the right.

It's probably best to have a practice to see if your bangs can lay the other way with a styling product and some straighteners. They may be a bit more lifted if you swap there usual direction but you won't know till you try. 😉
