I've only used batiste and I know with that you have to spray it close to scalp, rub in then brush, you could try that technique :-)

Only put it in your roots! The oil is only produced near your roots, so your ends probably don't need it. Just spray it in your hair and rub your fingers through it like craaaazy, it should absorb all the oil :)

Batiste works well and so does Pssst for relatively inexpensive dry shampoos.
