Okay, maybe not flawless but I always feel really pretty after I've taken a nice shower. Lol

I've never been one for foundation, my acne and acne scars don't bother me. And honey chile, I have acne scars over my whole body. You'd cry if you saw my back and arms. But it doesn't stop me from living my life. If my acne scars stop someone from talking to me, that just tells me that person is superficial and isn't worth my time.

So wear your foundation and concealer, but do it because you like the look. Not because you're trying to cover yourself to appease someone else. Your beauty is far more than skin deep.

Tehee ignore my towel turban. My hair is soaking wet lol

Do you wear foundation, bb cream, cc cream, or a tinted moisturizer? Or none of the above?

You're beautiful! And that's a wonderful attitude to have:)
Today I actually went full out on the makeup (I usual don't wear any) because I was having a bad day and it always makes me feel more confident; but I definitely love how I look after a shower or right after I wake up!

Nala, you look gorgeous, and you definitely have a great outlook on life. I, like you, almost never wear face makeup, because I don't mind my skin. I'm lucky in that I don't really get acne, but I do get blackheads. No one really sees them but me, so I don't see much point in covering.

Lol you're totally opposite of me!! I think I look the best late at night. I look so groggy and gross in the morning! (Maybe because I stay up late?... Lol interesting thought)

I actually look really bad with foundation and skin makeup. I don't know if I don't know how to apply it properly or if it's the products I'm using (or a combination of both) but I look extremely odd with skin makeup.

Your beauty is shining out of you! I wear foundation some days and bb cream on other days but I'm equally happy to go out bare faced, like you say it's all about being happy in your own skin :-)

Let's just be clear here, Janelle, there are no right or wrong reasons for wearing makeup. If it makes you feel comfortable or makes you like the way your skin looks, that's great. What works for Nala, while it's fantastic, isn't necessarily the best course for everyone else.

Wear what makes YOU happy and comfortable with yourself. As Jackie says, all that matters is that you like the person who looks back at you from the mirror.

Nala totally agree with you! Sometimes people try and tell me I need to wear a fuller coverage foundation and try liquid instead of mineral but I don't want to cover up completely as the acne doenst bother so much I need to cover it all up. I do wear a bit of powder but I like the way it evens out my skin. 100% agree with you. Preach it 😘

I'm very happy that I misunderstood you, Janelle! And I'm glad that you realized something like that, because it's completely true! No one should feel the need to cover up for others, either, if they're comfortable with their skin :)

I just feel like makeup should be for the person wearing it not for others.

Like Hannah wears her gorgeous colorful eye looks. Most people would say that's too much for every day. But she wears then because she loves them, not to fit into other peoples boxes.

I think Beautylish taught me that, I used to think that way. Makeup should be a certain way for a certain reason. But that's not true. Makeup is an art and it should please the artist who cares what the critics think. As long as your happy. I wear my cat eye pretty much daily because I love how it makes my eyes more almond shape. And I have wide brows that most people think I should thin out but they're mine and I'll keep them how I want. Who cares if someone dislikes it, I don't live to please them lol

What acne??? Your skin is beyond beautiful. I'm Hungover Flawless right now and needing more water lol

That was extremely well said, Nala, and thank you. I 100% agree, BL has a way of opening everyone's minds. It's so important to be the person that you want to be in all aspects of your life, and Beautylish is an amazing way to figure out exactly who that is, and what you like. I'm a sorority girl, and would anyone guess? Probably not, because I have purple hair, and I wear crazy eye makeup almost every day. But it makes me happy, and my sisters are constantly complimenting me, my makeup, and my skills. When you're happy with yourself, people notice that, instead of "oh, she's wearing bright red eyeshadow today."

Lol you're right, I wouldn't have thought you were based off your appearance. But your appearance isn't you, by your demeanor however, I could definitely see you in a sorority. Your appearance says "I'm too cool for school" jk lmao 😄😄😄

Lol and that works for me, Nala :) like we agreed, it only matters if you're happy what you look like!

Nala, your skin is beautiful and your confidence definitely shows through!😊 I never leave my house without a medium-full coverage foundation. I'm only 17 but I need it. I have very bad acne scarring all over my face. I wouldn't be able to look people in the eye without foundation. I've only been out without foundation once to Target.. It's like 4 hours away from my house so I figured I would never see them again.. It wasn't a pleasant experience with people staring at my face. But I've been trying to limit my face makeup. We'll see how it goes.😏

I love your eye looks and hair. You've inspired me to step outside my neutral box. I got my little ulta catalog thingy in the mail and saw the Electric palette and I was like if I had the money I would soooo get it. I've truly learned to love makeup and I want to perfect my technique. It's easy to wear neutral/plain eye looks but it takes more skill to apply colors.

I would love to wear yellows, greens, blues, etc.out the house. But those elf palettes aren't going to cut it.

I'm not sure if that was directed at me, Nala, but either way I'm so, so ecstatic to hear that Beautylish has influenced you in such a positive way. And to be fair, I've seen some ultra complicated neutral looks that have completely impressed me! What takes skill is great application, no matter what the colors are :)
