I'm graduating from with grade too at my school it's formal and from attending my brothers and my friends it seems a bit more prom and extravagant if you want to stand out and make a statement go for it bit personally it's not my style.

I love it and I'm graduating this year too! Personally I think it's more prom than 8th grad, bc of the skirt part, but dress in whatever you want you'll look fabulous either way.
