So I got some eyelash extensions today. Have you ever tried it? Can I use mascara with it? How can I take care of it?

Very nice :) I had them. I wore mascara with them sometimes...I think the whole point of me getting them was to not have to wear mascara :) I'm really not sure if there's any exact science to take care of them 😁 I just put Vaseline on my lashline like I did every single day...

Mimi Vaseline is bad for lash line... it clogs your pores and causes build up :/

I wouldn't put mascra doe if your trying to take good care of them and want them to last as long as they can (: good luck they look great btw.

Oh no 😱 I didn't know that! I wear contacts too, but my lashline gets very dry and moisturizer stings my eyes...do you have any recommendations?

Don't use oil anywhere near your extensions as it'll eat the glue, brush them with a brush, you can put mascara but personally I think You've got the lashes so you don't need to wear mascara.

Be careful with makeup removers and wiping your eyes, as you can accidentally remove the extension. I have friends that have done it, but I can't be bothered. Every couple of weeks your eyelashes cycle, and you have to go get the extensions filled/replaced. I've also heard that prolonged use will weaken your lashes and cause them to be shorter/sparser, but I don't know if it is true.

I had mine done for the first time three weeks ago and I absolutely loved them for the first week and a bit. then they started growing out and stabbing me in the eye area, but they wouldn't come off because they were still glued on. I don't think I'll get them again...maybe for my wedding, probably not.
the technician was saying something about the mink or synthetic ones being damaging to your lashes, but the natural ones are fine?

Omg about the dry waterline problem...I had that for years! I used to get eczema on my FACE caused by Graves Disease and it would make my eye balls so dry and flaky. I couldn't use hydrocortisone on my eye area so I was kinda shit out of luck lol. My eyes hurt sometimes though like on bad days they would bleed. It was creepy as hell lol. Thankfully this was while I was in like middle school and it's not an issue for me anymore but I STILL have really bad dry skin hahah. Putting Jojoba oil on my eye area works really well for me. I'm using a completely organic one that literally has one ingredient lol, it doesn't irritate my eye area at all. :) Vitamin E Oil would most likely work the same way!
And I just think falsies are easier than eyelash extensions. For me personally eyelash extensions alone aren't dramatic enough so I'd end up just throwing some falsies on top anyway. 😭 I know so many people who have and love them though!
