Slowing down hair growth, without damaging it?

Girls,
So my hair grows so annoyingly fast and it grows extremely thick. I find that I always need a haircut every two weeks. It's very costly to maintain a haircut schedule and it's irritating because I love my short hair and I want to keep it short. I wash my hair every 2 or 3 days, I take care of it but I don't do anything special. I only use regular shampoo and conditioner when I wash my hair, I don't use oils or anything like that.
It just grows so incredibly fast and thick and I want to slow it down a little! Anyone know of anything I could try, that won't damage my hair?

The speed of your hair growth depends on a lot of factors- genetic, climate, nutrition. it'll grow faster if you take some supplements. I don't thnk there is something you can do to slow it down unfortunately.

^^I agree. I do my roots every five weeks. To just trim every 2 weeks would be Heaven..lol

Nothing you can do lover. There is no way to slow hair from growing. However, have you asked your stylist to thin it out when they cut it? This could help your cut last from 2weeks to 4weeks. Since you have some wave/curl, ask to have it Sliced out, instead of them using the thinning shears which would leave it curlier.
