I would say it's mostly practice. Make sure you have one hand keeping your eye open if you have trouble doing that. There should be a little line there to help you put them in right and aligned properly and are more comfortable.

I like to pull on my lower lash line and insert the lense, but after a while you'll be able to do it without a mirror. It really does just take practice. Make sure to store them in solution, and every time you take them out of the case, dump the solution, clean the case, and when putting them back in, pour new solution in.

I got my prescription contacts about five months ago, so I see where you're coming from! First of all, put in your contacts before makeup. It will make the whole process much easier, and you'll be able to see how the colors will really look. I also highly reccomend keeping a small, clean towel near by that's free of any lint. I place the lens on the index of my right hand for my right eye and the opposite for my left. Sometimes I also put it on my middle finger. Taking my other hand, I reach over my head and gently pull from in front of my lashes up and out. Then I use my ring finger of the hand with the contact to gently pull down my lower lash line. I place the contact on my eye and hold it for a few seconds. When I first place it, I'm looking up, but while my finger is still there I slowly roll my eye down. I pull my finger away gently and squeeze my eyes shut. While they're still shut, I move my eyes around a lot to help the contact sort of attach to my eye. That really helps! Final tips; don't take out the lenses until you've removed makeup and use the towel to dry your face and hands between attempts of taking them in and out! Good luck👍

^ I use prescription contacts! I agree with this except NEVER remove your makeup before taking out your contacts (after the day is over). The makeup may get stuck on your eye, which is a hassle. Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and dry your hands with a lint-free towel before touching your contacts. I also recommend using two fingers to prop open your eyes when inserting or removing your contacts, until you are able to use only one finger to use only one. Hope I helped! It takes practice, just keep trying. (Trust me... I took about an hour once. 😂😂)
