So I did retouch my red hair but for some odd reason it seems darker than last time and last time I used deep auburn and this time I used red and magenta which usually comes out brighter when you look at the hair samples..but anyways I'm looking to brighten it up a bit before school starts and I want something that I can do myself
(My mom complains when she has to do my hair 😳)
I've been looking at manic panic and ion and stuff like that, does anyone know any recommendations? Hopefully cheap yikes

What volume of developer did you use

I will probably do that next time. I like the color of the magenta but it seems only noticeable in direct sunlight and sunlight fades it anyways. I have a Sally's coupon for loreal that hasn't started yet so I still have to wait. I've heard of things like using cranberry juice and food coloring and all of that stuff but ugh that seems so..not a good idea so I was looking for something that could just brighten it temporarily.

I used 30 both times. Had to finish the bottle. It was sooo bright the first day I dyed it which was Saturday and I got away with not washing my hair since cause it doesn't get oily quickly at all and it seemed to just fade by itself.

I just dyed my hair red with manic panic. I heard it fades fast but it's not that bad actually. I got rained on yesterday and I was expecting my clothes to look a bloody mess but it wasnt even noticeable. All you need to do is put a red semi permanent color over it. Brighter than what you actually want so it can show up.

I don't know a ton about manic panic but I know a lot of people love it. I don't like the ion brand though. I hate it actually. Not vibrant a colors and makes your hair a sticky mess.
